Currently we regularly work out of these great venues.
The Castle– Prospect Place, Swindon
The home of The Thursday Night Music Club, our weekly showcase of the best (mostly acoustic) music around. This backstreet pub is a fabulous haven and wonderful space to host music. We also host occasional noisier free entry weekend local band shows here. The Castle is one of the venues for The Swindon Shuffle and Swinterfest too. The Castle Website
The Pulpit – Devizes Road, Swindon
Our newest space and the smallest. Nevertheless, it is perfectly formed and the possessor of some superb acoustics. The home of weekly Wednesday shows, mostly for rootsy solo / duo formats. The Pulpit Website
The Hop Inn – Devizes Road, Swindon
In the last couple of years The Hop In has become a real home-from-home for us, hosting in their upstairs space those bigger gigs that require a door charge. The beer and food is great too! The Hop Inn Website
We also sometimes work out of these great venues.
The Victoria – Victoria Road, Swindon
Our spiritual home, and the venue that gave birth to SoP Live. The Victoria is the main music venue in Swindon, and has the best sound system. Here we can run any larger and noisier band shows that come our way and require a door charge. The Vic is a key component to the festivals too. The Vic website
The Beehive – Prospect Hill, Swindon
SoP shows end up here on an ad-hoc basis depending on our demand and their schedule. One of our favourite watering hole, the bohemian atmosphere lends itself very well to folk and Americana in aprticular. The Only Ever-present venue for The Swindon Shuffle, and now a Swinterfest venue too. The Beehive website
And then, maybe…
Level 3 – Commercial Road, Swindon
Oooh, what is this… Dare we say it, is Level 3 back? It certainly looks that way, and after fruitful discussions with the new owners, it looks like there could be a fully functional 400cap venue back in town very soon. Exciting times – watch this space!!
