We are super excited to be able to announce that the near legendary Johnny Foreigner are coming to SoP as part of their extensive tour for Mono No Aware, their fifth studio album, released on cult label Alcopop! Records. They are a critically acclaimed four-piece jagged indie punk – rock band from Birmingham with an admirable independent and DIY spirit.
They’re 10 years old this autumn. Not like, indie-band 10 years where the first year is the only good album and the tenth is the reunion tour playing that album. 10 years of writing and playing and long-haul flighting and being a mostly happy mostly functional not completely unsuccessful brokeass working cottage industry/mobile entertainment unit.
Support for the show will come in the bubblegum Riot Grrrl punk-pop of the amazing Cupcake Diaz & The Felt-Tip Pens, who blew us away last week with a hell of a set. Openers are yet to be confirmed.
It all goes down on Thursday 24th November at The Victoria in Swindon, with the usual door time of 8.30pm. Tickets are £6 in advance via The Victoria or seetickets.com or £8 on the door if there are any left. Keep up to date and check out the bands via the event page.
