SoP Live – Promoters of the best in grassroots live music

It’s been a while but Songs of Praise is back at Level 3 (or Level III as the owner wants us to call it) and just to test the water and flex our promotional muscles we have lined up a night of some of the most sought after local bands around.

A Way With Words were the band to watch last year as their brand of accessible alt-rock, incendiary riffs and killer tunes took them from local concerns to regional front runners. Imagine where they will be by the end of this year. Raze*Rebuild are another band cashing in on last years hard work and whose punked out Americana will resonate with fans of Chuck Ragan, Gaslight Anthem and the like. As The Sun Sleeps bring a hefty slice of pop punk to the night, infectious rhythms, killer grooves and more energy than is good for them. Damn these pesky youngsters. Opening proceedings are young newcomers Break Glass To Open, four lads from Swindon and Marlborough with a thing for anthemic indie and punk bands. Hotly tipped by The Academy Of Music & Sound.
